HERMAN OSOFSKY has practiced family law for over 42 years. He is a Fellow of the American
Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers . He has served as President of the Passaic County Bar Association, and he has been an active member of the Passaic County,
Bergen County, New Jersey State and American Bar Associations, as well as the American Association for Justice, where he has lectured. He is a founding officer and director of the Divorce Arbitrators of New Jersey, and he is both a certified arbitrator and mediator. He has also lectured at the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education on a variety of family law and divorce related topics, including the impact of bankruptcy on divorcing couples and matrimonial arbitration. He has had an article on prenuptial agreements published in New Jersey Focus Magazine, and he has been interviewed by the Record newspaper on a variety of divorce related topics. He has also appeared in the Jewish Press with an article pertaining to the Get in the modern divorce practice, and he is listed in Who's Who in American Law. He received his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law School, and he is admitted to practice in New Jersey and
New York .
Mr. Osofsky is responsible for obtaining what may be, one of the largest settlements for alimony and child support in Passaic County, New Jersey. He obtained, for his client, the sum of $35,000 per month in a combination of alimony and child support.
